Qualifications

As a property maintenance technician, you help maintain the face of our company both internally and externally. The quality of your work directly impacts our customer experience.

Additionally, you will have the following capabilities and skills:

Responsibilities:

  • Part time schedule working between 15-20 hours per week at multiple properties. 
  • Inspect buildings and structures for functional systems, clearly document repairs needed
  • Perform basic maintenance on resident manager apartments, plumbing, electrical, gates, doors and storage unit components
  • Painting & exterior building repair
  • Customer service, including internal employees and external vendors and customers
  • Detailed documentation and clear communication is required
  • Bring a “can-do” attitude and contagious enthusiasm every day.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to climb and safely use various types of ladders
  • Ability to push a minimum of 100lbs; ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Potentially lengthy periods of bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing and walking may be required
  • Strong hearing capabilities, and color vision
  • Must read, write and speak English fluently
  • Schedule may require flexibility during peak seasons, with possible weekend work.
  • Ability to stay on task and work with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge and use of common tools
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of property maintenance experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Valid driver's license

Environmental Conditions: 

  • Work outside in a variety of weather conditions
  • Noise level may require hearing protection
  • Hard hat & steel toed shoes required at times
  • Projects may necessitate working safely at a variety of heights
  • May work with paints and solvents, cleaning supplies and other approved chemicals

Compensation: 

  • $22.00/hr and up depending on experience
